Saving Time and Money at Home and at Work
Whether it's the cost of gas, groceries, or utilities that have you trying to save as much money as possible; you know that the economy is not going to get better on it's own.

As a work at home mom, I know how hard it is to budget your time and money both professionally and in your family life.  The cost of gas and groceries is quickly catching up to housing as our largest monthly expense.   I have been finding ways to cut corners without sacrificing what is best for my business and family.  This blog will contain tips as well as products that I have found useful.

Gas Money Tip #1   Start watching your local gas stations.  Which stations raise their prices first and which ones only raise prices later in the day?  I have noticed that many of the larger gas stations in my town jump prices up 30-40 cents a gallon in the middle of the week.  I don't drive on Wed. when the gas typically goes up, so it's not worth it for me to see the price jump and then drive around trying to find a place cheaper.   However the Kroger gas station, which is further away, but is on the way to my sons preschool, doesn't raise prices until Thursday evening, and is still typically 3-5 cents a gallon cheaper than those closer to my home.   Plus for every $100 I spend on groceries I get 10 cents off per gallon.  Having 5 kids, $100 in groceries is standard.   So I drop my son of at preschool in the morning go to the grocery store (by the way not only do new sales start on Thursdays, going in the morning I can take advantage of instore markdowns and clearances and there are a lot less people than in the evening).   Then I get gas, it's okay that I didn't spend $100 that trip because it carries over throughout the month.

Many grocery stores are adding gas stations and starting similar discounts so it's worth checking out.
